Following agreeing at the 2021 camp, D’FAT began the process of producing a 20-year anniversary documentary to celebrate the milestone of becoming 20-years old in 2022.
This documentary would covers activities, projects and achievements of D’FAT through interviews with a number of former D’FAT members from 2012-2022. This 20-year anniversary documentary would compliment D’FAT’s existing 10-year documentary (2002-2012), which was produced in 2011. Pre-production was completed in 2021.
The Peter Underwood Centre for Educational Attainment (University of Tasmania) provided equipment and training in filming techniques and production was completed in 2022. A small rough cut of the 20-year anniversary documentary was shown at the 2022 Tasmania Youth Advisory Council Summit during November 2022.
Post-production was completed in 2024 and the documentary was officially premiered during October 13th.
