All Too Hard was a youth suicide and depression forum conducted by D’FAT in three locations (Maydena, Glenora and New Norfolk) throughout the Derwent Valley Municipality during National Mental Health Week 2004. These forums were conducted with assistance from mental health service providers.
The aim of these forums was to reduce the stigma and create community awareness of youth depression as a mental illness, and to additionally create awareness and reduce the stigma associated with suicide. Both these issues and how common they are in the general community were discussed at the forums.
D’FAT was presented with the Community Event Award at the 2005 Derwent Valley Council Australia Day Celebrations for this project.
